Spread Love 2021
Time & Location
About the Event
Join Connect Volunteering and Cancer Kids First in writing supportive and loving cards to the children at the Seattle Children's Hospital. These kids have been through so much, especially through COVID-19, and it's our job to make sure they feel loved and cared for every day. The more letters we write, the more love we spread. Handwrite or type a thoughtful letter to a brave kid in the hospital. Make sure you don't say things like "feel better soon" since they may be fighting lifelong conditions. Avoid getting too specific and instead write about how brave and loved these kids are. Make them feel important and special! Write as many as you want!
- Refrain from using phrases like "feel better soon" because many patients may be battling lifelong conditions
- Make sure your card is not addressing a specific person. They will be randomly sent to the children in the hospital.
- Sign your card with ONLY your first name. Do not include your last name or any other personal information.
- Be creative! You can make your cards from anything!
For this event, you have the option of writing e-cards as well. These e-cards should be made like a real card. This means they can't just be a word document with a message! Design them and be creative. To receive hours for your e-cards, make sure you save your design as a PDF and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org! Cancer Kids First will be in charge of e-cards.
2 well-made cards = 1 hour of service
You can receive an unlimited amount of hours! Write as many cards as you want!
Cancer Kids First is in charge of the e-card hours, they will award your hours based on the quality and quantity of the e-cards sent to them.
Email your cards at email@example.com, make sure it's in a PDF format.
