In every event Connect Volunteering organizes, there is always one volunteer that goes above and beyond to help the community around us. In the event "September P.P.E. Drive", that outstanding volunteer was Juan Orellana.
Juan is a rising senior at Eastlake High School in Sammamish, Washington. He has volunteered with us since our very first event and has always contributed huge amounts of work and donations. He comes with a smile, a great attitude, and makes sure he helps in any way he can. At this specific event, he donated 50 items when we only asked for 5-10. He went above and beyond to try and help those around him and contribute to his community in a safe and friendly way. 50 items of P.P.E. means 50 more people at hospitals, homeless shelters, senior centers, and more get the protection they need to be safe from the COVID-19 outbreak. Juan was easily the most outstanding volunteer at this event and one of the brightest highlights of all these events was simply just getting to know him through the months he's shown up to help. He has deserved each and every hour we award him, his kindness and loving attitude will not be forgotten anytime soon here at Connect Volunteering.
Thank you Juan, it's always a joy to see you at our events.
