Help spread some smiles to the children of our community by safely delivering goodie bags of candy to them on Halloween! Connect Volunteering will supply you with goodie bags with candy and a small note, all you have to do is drop them at the front door of houses in your neighborhood. Make sure you're wearing a mask so everyone can stay safe from COVID-19. We will supply you with a max of 8-10 goodie bags and you can earn an hour of service for every 3 houses you deliver to. This means you can earn up to 3 hours of service through this one event.
This event is meant to promote children's wellbeing and care. Inside each goodie bag, there will be a note that asks the parents or adults to donate some money to a children's charity/organization of their choice. We want to make sure every child is taken care of and given the right environments to thrive!
To avoid making parents scared/suspicious of bags on their front porch, please deliver the bags from 12 to 6 PM on Halloween while there’s still daylight. We do NOT want our volunteers waiting at the front door for someone to open. To remain smart and safe about COVID-19, please just ring the doorbell and leave the bag, that way everything is contactless. Inside the bag, there will be a note which will explain what the bag is and why it’s been delivered to their house to clear up any concerns.
Unlike previous events, we will only be giving goodie bags to people who have registered for the event. You HAVE to register to participate in this event as per our safety regulations.
