Volunteer Spotlight: Cassidy Spencer

In every event Connect Volunteering organizes, there is always one volunteer that goes above and beyond to help the community around us. In the event "Asian Heritage Awareness", that outstanding volunteer was Cassidy Spencer.

Cassidy is a junior at Eastlake High School in Sammamish, Washington. She has volunteered and supported us since our very first event. She truly is an integral part of our Connect Family and has always contributed huge amounts to help support us, the people around her, and the community as a whole. She was even selected by us for the PBS American Portrait submission, where she shared her volunteering journey and was featured on PBS's official Instagram page and their website! Cassidy always comes with a smile, a great attitude, and makes sure she helps in any way she can. At this specific event, she distributed almost half of our entire total of flyers. As usual, she went above and beyond, this time spreading awareness about some of the most unseen issues in America. With hundreds of other volunteers doing amazing things at our events, it's all the more impressive to think about how awesome and consistent Cassidy has been for the last 9 months. Thank you for volunteering with us Cassidy, it truly means the world to us.

Thanks for the read,

Rajdeep Das, Founder and CEO of Connect Volunteering
